Aa. Vinogradova, MICROELEMENTS IN THE ARCTIC AEROSOL, Izvestia Akademii nauk. Rossijskaa akademia nauk. Fizika atmosfery iokeana, 29(4), 1993, pp. 437-456
The paper summarizes and systematizes the data on element composition
of the Arctic atmospheric aerosol. The following aspects are considere
d: 1) the geophysical peculiarities of the pollution substance long-ra
nge transport from the mid-latitudes to the Arctic; 2) the concentrati
on levels of some chemical elements in the Arctic atmosphere, their te
mporal and spatial variations; 3) the mass-size distributions, the enr
ichment factors and the dry deposition velocities of various elements
in the Arctic atmosphere; 4) the methods for determination of the aero
sol origin (natural or antropogenic) by means of its microelement comp
osition analysis. The reference list consists of 125 papers which were
published during the last 15 years.
