Abstract
Contributions of temperature and salinity stratification and tidal osc illation in development of high-energy oceanic boundary layer are cons idered. These factors increase local velocity maximum near bottom. Rel ative effects from temperature and salinity stratification and stratif ication caused by suspended particles are studied using simple model o f constant shear stress layer. Influence of the bottom slope is estima ted numerically.
