Abstract
The course of the dehydration of alpha-hydroxy-gamma-oxotrimethylsilan es is highly dependent on the conditions to produce stereoselectively (Z)- and (E)-gamma-oxovinyltrimethylsilanes, which are potential precu rsors for preparation of stereodefined exocyclic tetrasubstituted alke nes.
