Abstract
A novel approach for performing highly automated chemical analysis is prese nted. The method is based on well-controlled movement of paramagnetic parti cles in a convection-free liquid system. The magnetic particles are coated with reagent and are moved through the sample and reagents by magnetic forc es. Less than 30 magnetic particles with a diameter of 2.5 mu m are used pe r analysis.
