Abstract
The utility of a chemical precursor solution for the production of YBa2Cu3O 7-x superconducting films has been investigated. The homogeneous precursor solution made of metal acetates, 1,3-bis(dimethylamino)-2-propanol, and ace tic acid was applied to [100] MgO substrates via spin-coating. Subsequent h eating and sintering removed the organic components. The best epitaxial fil m obtained by this chemical solution deposition method has a T-c of 78 K. ( C) 1999 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
