Considerable evidence supports the criterion-related validity of the Social
ization (So) scale of the California Psychological Inventory (Gough, 1948,
1994, 1996) for the prediction of antisocial and prosocial behavior. Howeve
r, no research has examined the similarity of the So construct for the two
populations. Meaningful interpretation of So scores is possible if the fact
or structure is equivalent for antisocial and prosocial groups.
