HYPERFINE STRUCTURES AND ISOTOPIC SHIFTS OF THE CU D(1) AND D(2) LINES MEASURED BY HIGH-RESOLUTION LASER FLUORESCENCE SPECTROSCOPY WITH A COLLIMATED ATOMIC-BEAM
G. Hermann et al., HYPERFINE STRUCTURES AND ISOTOPIC SHIFTS OF THE CU D(1) AND D(2) LINES MEASURED BY HIGH-RESOLUTION LASER FLUORESCENCE SPECTROSCOPY WITH A COLLIMATED ATOMIC-BEAM, Spectrochimica acta, Part B: Atomic spectroscopy, 48(10), 1993, pp. 1259-1264
The hyperfine A- and B-factors of the 4S-2(1/2), 4P-2(1/2) and 4P-2(3/
2) states as well as the isotope shift of the related D1 and D2 resona
nce lines have been measured with high accuracy for copper. High-resol
ution laser fluorescence spectroscopy and a collimated atomic Cu beam
have been employed to reduce Doppler and pressure broadening. The meas
urements are in good agreement with literature data and improve the ac
curacy of the 4P-2(1/2) hyperfine structure considerably, and that of
the isotope line shifts by more than one order of magnitude.
