Abstract
The first step towards the production of a rubber compound involves obtaini ng the polymer through an appropriate polyreaction. New methods are constan tly being sought which will make polymer production less expensive. The fol lowing paper presents a number of investigations into the production of pol yoctenamer through metathesis polymerisation. The investigations show that metathesis polymerisation can be conducted in a twin-screw extruder. The pr oducts obtained are compared with commercial products and reveal highly pro mising properties.
