H. Fujiwara et al., Model for the calculation of precipitation and recrystallization behavior during the annealing process in copper alloys, MATER T JIM, 40(2), 1999, pp. 146-151
Precipitation and classical recrystallization models were used to simulate
and design cold rolling and annealing processes. The simulations were compa
red with experimental results for copper alloys.
The simulations are based on the classical recystallization theory and the
precipitation theory proposed by Langer and Schwartz. The precipitate distr
ibution density, the average precipitate size, the degree of precipitation,
and the recrystallized fraction in the matrix can be calculated.
A comparison between the calculations and the measurements on a Cu-Cr-Sn al
loy revealed that both exhibited similar trends during annealing. Slight di
fferences occurred, especially in the recrystallized fraction.
