Abstract
Combined occlusion of the central retinal artery and central retinal vein i s an infrequently encountered clinical entity. Although there are reports i n the literature of a combined occlusion of the central retinal artery and vein,(1,4-9) its occurrence following pars plana vitrectomy has not been de scribed. We report the case of an elderly patient who developed this unusua l occurrence following an uneventful pars plana vitrectomy for a posteriorl y dislocated IOL.
