Abstract
Quantum-chemical calculations of the potential curves of the states 1 (1)Si gma(+), 2 (1)Sigma(+), and 1 (3)Sigma(+) of the HeNa+ cation related to the first two dissociation limits are carried out. The calculations confirm th e excimer nature of the cation. It is shown that the second and third excit ed states of the cation are bound states and their order in the energy scal e is determined by the Hund rule. The values of the dipole moment of the 2 (1)Sigma(+) --> 1 (1)Sigma(+) transition are calculated for different inter nuclear distances. The radiation lifetime of the vibrational levels of the 2 (1)Sigma(+) electronic state is determined. The possibility of lasing by this transition is discussed.
