Abstract
Using stock ownership and stuck options as indices ol CEO hegemonic power, this study examined their effects on the growth of 37 Canadian corporate ex ecutives' compensation in 1995-96. While options granted for exercise did n ot show any significant influence, stuck ownership showed a significant neg ative influence on the growth of executive compensation.
