We have studied the magnetization of melt-spun amorphous Fe80-y-xNiyMnxB12S
i8 alloys with 20 less than or equal to y((Ni)) less than or equal to 50 an
d 0 less than or equal to x((Mn)) less than or equal to 2 under magnetic fi
elds up to 18 kOe, and have analyzed the results at 4.2 K, based on the ran
dom magnetic anisotropy (RMA) model. The approach to saturation is establis
hed in the form of H-1/2 for the various samples. The exchange constant A a
nd the ferromagnetic correlation length R-f decrease with Mn addition while
the local random anisotropy is enhanced.
