Abstract
It is shown that the large angle MSW solution of the solar neutrino problem with a bimaximal neutrino mixing matrix implies an energy-independent supp ression of the solar v(e) flux. The present solar neutrino data exclude thi s solution of the solar neutrino problem at 99.6% C.L. [S0556-2821 (99)0200 7-X].
