Abstract
In this paper, we consider a single-server finite-capacity queue with gener al bulk service rule where customers arrive according to a Poisson process and service times of the batches are arbitrarily distributed. The queue is analyzed using both the supplementary variable and imbedded Markov chain te chniques. The relations between state probabilities at departure and arbitr ary epochs have been presented in explicit forms.
