In this paper are presented the results of a study of scorpion material col
lected during the spring of 1997 in Trinidad and Tobago. The collection is
composed of 2 families, 4 genera and 7 species. One new species, Microtityu
s starri n. sp. (Buthidae) is described from Little Tobago. It is suggested
that Tityus trinitatis Pocock may be a polymorphic species. Some comments
on the other species are also included.
