Abstract
Mesostructure formation in titanium sponge, a cracked and porous material, is considered during treatment in a high-energy mill tart attrition mill. A ttention focuses on the scale level corresponding to micropores and microcr acks, Various stages in the evolution of the structure and its geometric pa rameters are considered; a law of crack growth in the near-surface region i s established in conditions of self-similar defect-structure development.
