An exact solution for the density of electrons in a quantum dot with model
quadratic interactions between the electrons is derived, taking into accoun
t correlation effects between the electrons. These correlation effects give
rise to oscillations in the density as a function of the radial distance f
rom the center of trapping potential of the dot. Upon increasing the temper
ature, the density profile smoothens and the oscillations vanish. (C) 1999
