Abstract
Magnetic and transport properties of NiO/Pd multilayers were investigated. The NiO/Pd multilayers show ferromagnetic behavior. The temperature depende nce of magnetoresistance shows a negative cusp around the Curie temperature , which is typical of ferromagnets, This result seems to support that Pd in NiO/Pd multilayers is ferromagnetic. Oscillation of the magnetization and the Curie temperature as a function of the number of layers was observed fo r NiO/Pd several layered films. It implies that there is some magnetic inte raction between Pd layers through NiO layer. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
