A 63-year-old male became quadriplegic after spinal injury associated with
ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament of the cervical spine a
nd died 4 years later. A postmortem examination of the cervical spinal cord
showed various unfavorable pathological changes accounting for severe myel
opathy.
