Abstract
Arthur Jacobs (1899-1974) was the father of urology in Glasgow. His extensi ve experience with genitourinary tuberculosis, ureterosigmoidostomy, and bl adder augmentation were far ahead of his time. He became an expert in retro pubic prostatectomy and was a pioneer in early imaging techniques. (C) 1999 , Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
