Rh//gamma-Al2O3, Rh/SiO2, Pd/ gamma-Al2O3 and Pd/SiO2 catalysts with a
metal content lower than 2.5%, supported by the incipient wetness met
hod, were studied by electrophoretic method. It has been proved that t
he metal is preferentially located at the periphery of the particles o
f the support. It was proved, moreover, that the highest interaction b
etween these metals and these supports is observed in the Rh/gamma-Al2
O3 system, while the lowest is observed in the Pd/SiO2 series; the int
eraction between Rh and gamma-Al2O3 is greater than between Rh and SiO
2.
