Abstract
For conservative purposes, but also to improve our phytogeographical knowledge, new data on the Siclian distribution of some rare or seldom collected species are given here. The listed taxa are: centaurea aspera L., which grows here in the boundary of its distribution area, Hormuzakia aggregata (Lehm.) Gusul., highly vulnerable to local extinction, Potamogeton lucens L., in recent years considered extinct, and Leucanthemum vulgare Lam. var. vulgare, which is localized only in a site and is new to the territory of Sicily. In addition, after the finding of the real Lotus corniculatus L. s.s. on the Monti Madonie (here new to Sicily), it is underlined that the species put in recent Floras under this bynomial and considered as gowing in Sicily must be referred instead to Lotus versicolor Tineo, a relative-endemism typical of some beech woods of the Island. From the data we present here, in conclusion, one can deduce that almost all the listed species have a spreading and a tendency to rarefy their presence governed by human impact rather than by natural factors.
