Abstract
A computer-based measurement system devised to evaluate a reciprocatin g water-lift pump in the laboratory is presented. Particular emphasis is placed on the computer controlled part of the system which uses off -the-shelf electronic equipment to record rapidly changing quantities. Although it is used for evaluating a reciprocating water-lift pump, t he system is actually non-specific as it employs standard electronic d evices; as such it can be adapted easily for other uses.
