Abstract
The authors present clinical and radiographic measures for the early d etection of potential maxillary canine impaction. Intercepting the imp action process by timely removal of the primary canines, as demonstrat ed in several representative cases, allows the permanent canines to er upt normally and, thus, prevents their potential impaction.
