Abstract
A chiral organopalladium complex promoted asymmetric Diels-Alder react ion between 1-phenyl-3,4-dimethyl-phosphole and methyl-trans-4-oxo-2-p entenoate gives the corresponding keto-carboxylate heterofunctionalize d P-chiral phosphine ligand in which the keto group is stereoselective ly located in the exo position of the phosphanorbornene skeleton.
