Abstract
Equations of motion for parameters of a misaligned astigmatic Gaussian beam with twisting in an axially symmetric medium are obtained using a modification of the generalized method of moments. A number of nontr ivial features of dynamics of a beam in a parabolic waveguide with the Kerr nonlinearity is found.
