This paper studies the relationship between education and diabetic hea
lth investment. The empirical work focuses on how education affects he
ath investment proxies such as smoking propensities, blood sugar contr
ol and diet. Increased education has a positive impact on diabetic hea
lth investment, even after controlling for IQ and available informatio
n, but the health investments of diabetics are less responsive to incr
eases in education than are those of non-diabetics. [JEL I12, I20] (C)
