Abstract
Data converters are playing an ever increasingly important role in dig ital communication channels. As VLSI technologies scale, more of the s ignal processing is performed in the digital domain, making superior c onverter design critical. Attributes of various modern analog-to-digit al converters such as flash and Sigma Delta are described.
