Abstract
The concept of antibodies eliciting antiidiotypic antibodies has been around for a long time, In this article, Fernando A. Goldbaum, Bradfor d C. Braden, and Roberto J. Poljak discuss the main theories used to e xplain molecular mimicry within this system and, taking antibodies to h en lysozyme as a model, explain molecular mimicry by anti-idiotypes at the molecular level.
