Abstract
Several analytical methods have been proposed in this literature, to a nalyse the monomers used in the polymerisation of the NYLON 6. Neverth eless, none of these analytical techniques allows for the simultaneous determination of aminocaproic acid, E-caprolactam, and their oligomer s. Our report describes a simple and rapid reversed phase HPLC for the assay of all these compounds. This method has been validated in terms of linearity, repeatability, limit of quantification, and limit of de tection. Considering its specificity and sensitivity, this method has been applied to the determination of the residual amount of the monome rs present within polyamide 6. That is why, we have carried out the de sorption kinetic of monomers and oligomers.
