The study of individual symptoms of schizophrenia, such as auditory ha
llucinations, can contribute to effective treatment strategies. We rev
iew existing instruments for the assessment of characteristics and dim
ensions of auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia and other psychiat
ric disorders and describe their psychometric properties and implicati
ons for their use in clinical research and practice. In addition, thre

each of which contain questions that pertain to hallucinations, are i
ncluded, Copyright (C) 1998 by W.B. Saunders Company.
