D. Fedor et al., THE DIMENSIONS OF POLITICS PERCEPTIONS AND THEIR ORGANIZATIONAL AND INDIVIDUAL PREDICTORS, Journal of applied social psychology, 28(19), 1998, pp. 1760-1797
This study addresses limitations of prior research on politics by firs
t addressing the multidimensionality of politics perceptions through a
ssessing the confirmatory fit of 1-, 3-. and 5-factor models. Secondly
, the study examines the relative effects of organizational and person
al characteristics on politics perceptions, as well as their interacti
ons. Results indicate that 5 underlying dimensions of politics percept
ions demonstrate the best fit to the data, and that these dimensions a
re differentially influenced by organizational and individual-level fa
ctors and their interactions. Implications of the results are discusse
