Abstract
Radiation pressure is nowadays a common tool to manipulate particles. A large number of studies have been devoted to this technique, but mos t of them assume that the particle under study is a homogeneous partic le. Here we focus our attention on radiation pressure forces and torqu es exerted by a Gaussian beam on a multilayered sphere, with a particu lar attention devoted to the comparison between torque resonances and absorption resonances.
