R. Navarro et al., FTIR STUDY OF THE SYMMETRICAL NU-S(PO32-) MODE OF 5'-CMP IN (H2O)-H-2SOLUTION - MOLECULAR RELAXATION PROCESSES, Journal of physical chemistry, 97(36), 1993, pp. 9081-9086
FTIR measurements on the v(s)(PO32-) band shape of 5'-CMP in (H2O)-H-2
solution at different concentrations, 0.002-0.58 mol dm-3, and temper
atures, 10-55-degrees-C, have been interpreted in terms of the dynamic
s of the PO32- group and the self-association processes of this mononu
cleotide. A possible aggreation process of 5'-CMP at approximately 0.3
mol dm-3 has been detected from the second derivative and the integra
ted intensity of the band. Vibrational relaxation seems to be the main
relaxation pathway for this mode, and vibrational dephasing appears a
s the fastest process among the different relaxation channels. An inte
rmediate modulation regime for the vibrational frequency is obtained.
