The low-energy charge and spin excitations of the insulating Sr2CuO2Cl
2 lamellar system are examined in the framework of an extended one-ban
d Hubbard model. We study optical conductivity, ARPES Raman and inelas
tic scattering experiments using numerical and analytical techniques.
Within this effective model, we analize the behavior of the quasiparti
cle band and calculate the non-resonant A(1g) and B-1g Raman profiles.
