Some mechanisms of interaction of pesticide molecules of different che
mical structure with bilayer lipid membranes (BLM) of living cells hav
e been exposed. It has been shown that depending on the hydrophobic ra
dical length, the dipole moment of the hydrophilic group, and other pa
rameters characterising pesticide molecule, its interaction with BLM i
s realised according to one of the three main mechanisms: by the solub
ilization of the pesticide molecules inside the hydrocarbon region of
BLM, by the adsorption of these molecules to the region of the localis
ation of hydrophilic heads of membrane phospholipides, or by the incor
poration of amphiphile pesticide molecules in the intermediate region
of BLM.
