Abstract
The Pauson-Khand reaction of the 3,4-bis(tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy)-7 -octene-1-yne derivatives, derived from (+)-diethyl tartrate, exclusiv ely gave the tyldimethylsilyloxy)bicyclo[4.3.0]non-derivatives, while the (3S,4S)-3,4-dihydroxy-7-octen-1-yne congeners diastereocomplementa rily afforded the corresponding ,6R)-2,3-dihydroxy-bicyclo[4.3.0]non-1 (9)-en-8-one in a highly selective manner.
