Basing on the work presented one may calculate the height of the melti
ng zone and its other parameters. The parameters that may be calculate
d are, for example, time of melting of metal batch pieces, number of p
ieces being simultaneously melted, their development surface and total
volume, linear velocity of melting, temperature of gasses at input to
the melting zone and on the output of the zone. The work presented co
nstitutes a link completing the coke cupola heat exchange theory elabo
rated by author. The main objective of the theory is the calculation o
f working height of cupola, securing its optimal run, or optimal calcu
lation of technical parameters (e. g., the quantity of blow air, coke
output) for cupolas of given working height.
