The objective of this work is to apply the CEQUEAU model to reconstitu
te the daily and monthly mean flows in four hydrometric stations in th
e River Miliane watershed as well as the daily mean levels in the Bir
Mcherga dam. During the calibration period (1972/1973-1974/1975), the
daily mean flows are reconstituted with a Nash coefficient varying bet
ween 0.88 and 0.97. The relative bias obtained ranged between -2.3 and
-4.7%. For the extreme flows, however, the bias values are greater. T
he analysis of residual series shows that the residuals are homogeneou
s. Residuals are not serially independent, but they are spatially inde
pendent. During the validation period (1975/1976-1976/1977), correlati
on and Nash coefficients were degraded for the two remaining stations
in operation (0.71 and 0.89). The mean relative bias values varied bet
ween -3.7 and +5.5%.
