H. Takahashi et al., EFFICACY OF ACETAMIPRID 2-PERCENT GRANULE AGAINST DIAMONDBACK MOTH ONCABBAGE BY SOIL TREATMENT, Nippon Noyaku Gakkaishi, 23(3), 1998, pp. 275-280
Acetamiprid, 3-pyridyl)methyl]-N-2-cyano-N-1-methylacetamidine, posses
ses a broad insecticidal spectrum and excellent systemic activity. For
the purpose of finding the practical way of application that makes th
e best use of the potential of acetamiprid, the efficacy of acetamipri
d against larvae of the diamondback moth by soil treatment, mainly the
planting hole application, was investigated. Release controlled granu
le was investigated to improve the efficacy of release uncontrolled fo
rmulation. The improved formulation provided an excellent efficacy wit
hout fluctuating depending on the soil type and rainfall. The efficacy
of acetamiprid 2% granule against larvae of the diamondback moth was
superior to that of benfuracarb 5% granule and acephate 5% granule by
the soil treatment. Moreover, the granule showed an outstanding effica
cy against the diamondback moth by the nursery box application. The gr
anule was expected to have the potential for more practical usage in s
oil treatment for the excellent efficacy with planting hole applicatio
n and nursery box application.
