Abstract
Enhancement of the Faraday magnetooptic effect by the excitation of su rface polariton on an interface between an iron garnet and silver is o bserved. The main contribution to this effect is due to the rotation o f the polarization of a surface polariton as the polariton propagates along the interface. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
