Abstract
5-Diazouracil can serve for direct sucrose and raffinose determination in pure solutions obeying Lambert-Beer law. Fructose, glucose, melezi tose, maltose, and their mixtures interfere in sucrose (and raffinose) determination but their influence can be eliminated.
