EFFECTS OF EXPERIMENTAL-INFECTION WITH PSEUDOMONAS-FLUORESCENS ON DIFFERENT BLOOD PARAMETERS IN CARP (CYPRINUS-CARPIO L.)

Different blood parameters (hematocrit, leukocrit, number of erythrocy tes, total leukocytes and trombocytes, total plasma protein, albumin a nd plasma Na+, K+, Ca++, and P) were investigated in Pseudomonas fluor escense infected and non-infected carp. Results showed a significant d ecrease of hematocrit, erythrocyte number, total plasma protein albumi n and plasma Na+, K+, Ca++ and P values in infected fish and a signifi cant increase in leukocrit and total leukocyte number, Trombocyte numb er remained unchanged following infection, These results corroborate t hose obtained in other fish species and could be used for estimation o f disease gravity.
