Abstract
Small mammal teeth similar to those recovered from pedogenic-nodule-ri ch conglomerates in the upper Fleming Formation in western Louisiana h ave been recovered from nodule-bearing conglomerate at an east Texas l ocality near Coldspring, which had yielded mammals of the Cold Spring Local Fauna, strengthening its correlation with the Louisiana faunas. The new Texas specimens, which include rodent teeth, insectivore or ch iropteran tooth fragments and fish teeth, are the first record of cric etid (Copemys) and heteromyid rodents from the Cold Spring Local Fauna .
