This paper explores the strain response and damage behavior of concret
e under uniaxial compression cyclic loading. Through present experimen
tal investigation on irreversible str aim accummulation, strain range
variation and the analysis of fatigue modulus of concrete with microcr
acks, the fatigue failure process has been found to be related to the
strain response behavior: It has also been found that irreversible str
ain accumulation, strain range variation, and fatigue modules degradat
ion of concrete under fatigue loading are associated with and carl be
used to describe fatigue damage evolution of concrete. On the basis of
the experimental results and continuum damage mechanics, a fatigue mo
del is proposed in this paper which can be used to account for the str
ain response properties fatigue damage evolution and S-N relation of c
oncrete under uniaxial compression cyclic loading.
