G. Greve et W. Greve, EVALUATION OF SELF-EXPERIENCE IN BEHAVIOR-THERAPY TRAINING THEORETICAL EXPLICATION AND EXEMPLARY APPLICATION OF A SELF-CONCEPT APPROACH, Verhaltenstherapie, 8(3), 1998, pp. 188-198
It is argued that evaluation of self-experience as an element in the t
raining of behavior therapy has to be (1) theory-guided, (2) methodica
lly independent from the realized approach for the self-experience, an
d (3) empirically independent from subjectively perceived effects of s
elf-experience. A new approach to evaluate self-experience is presente
d, which combines options for an individual feedback for the participa
nts with the opportunity of comparison of different concepts and reali
zations of self-experience. Possibilities for evaluation as well as fo
r individual feedback are demonstrated with examples from a course of
self-experience, Perspectives for further theoretical discussions and
empirical investigations are discussed.
