NdFe10+x Mo2-2xTix and NdFe10+xMo2-x (0 less than or equal to x less t
han or equal to 1.0) have been synthesized by using a reduction-diffus
ion process with superfine precursor particles as starting materials.
The easy direction of magnetization of the NdFe10+xMo2-2xTix system ha
s been determined by ac susceptibility and x- ray diffraction of the a
ligned samples. By comparison with NdFe12+xMo2-x, a magnetic phase dia
gram of the NdFe10+xMo2-2xTix system has been proposed. (C) 1998 Ameri
