Abstract
Oxidations of 1 using copper(II) dichloride and silver tetrafluorobora te produces a niobocene dichloride cation in [Nb(eta(5)-C5H4But)(2)Cl- 2][CuCl2] 1, and a mixed halide cation in [Nb(eta(5)-C5H4But)(2)(Cl)F] [BF4] 2. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
