THE PROCESSABILITY OF GREEN TYRE TREAD COMPOUNDS BASED ON THE NEW INVERSION CARBON-BLACKS

Data is shown confirming that the new inversion carbon black types can result in compounds closely matching those based on high dispersion s ilica. However, the data shows that the compounds may be difficult to mix and process unless special additives are used. A number of Strukto l products are shown to have considerable influence on the processabil ity of these compounds without detracting from their performance prope rties. They greatly reduce the black incorporation time, improve carbo n black dispersion, improve the mill handling and considerably improve the processability.
